I have a few wire racks in my home that I use for various purposes, to include organizing my kids bedrooms by serving as their entertainment hub. In addition to the wire rack I had managed to squeeze a computer desk in their room as well. While working on getting a new bedroom fixed up it came to me to consolidate the computer desk and entertainment rack concept into a single entity. After much pondering it occurs to me how truly awesome one of these wire racks could be as a re-purposed computer desk. After some minor shelving adjustments and a hard-wood surface purchase later, I have a fully functional (and epic) computer desk that’s on caster wheels (something I have a love affair with) and a solid work surface. I ordered the hard-wood surface online at Global Industrial for $68. Not bad.
